Founded in the summer of 1942 by E.B. Jensen and partner Roy Barnes, B&J Manufacturing Company has been the unquestioned industry leader in tire buffing products to serve the retread industry. B&J Manufacturing revolutionized the tire buffing process when introducing a system using blades rather than tacks, the now famous B&J Rocket Rasps. Not satisfied with resting on their laurels, B&J Manufacturing continued to be at the forefront of new blade technology introducing names that became synonymous with retreading such as Jet, Saturn, Apollo, Patriot, and Eagle.
Building on the innovative spirit of the Jensen family and 7 decades of leadership, B&J is enjoying a rebirth. Buoyed by new products developed to serve a diversified market, B&J has products with applications in the rubber reclamation/rubber mulch industry, the Patriot Mulching blades, and the rubber roll grinding industry, the Eagle I & II rasp hubs and blades.
Never forgetting their roots, B&J is bringing yet another breakthrough design to the retread market. The B&J Rocket DURO-MAX Rasp Hub is the first to be designed specifically for use on late model European buffers. Unlike anything to come before it, the DURO-MAX hub, in concert with B&J’s new DURO-MAX blade featuring B&J’s exclusive ULTANIUM steel, will provide texture and wear characteristics that are unmatched anywhere in the world.
