PROPER MAINTENANCE OF RASP HUB
Your B & J rasp hub requires very little maintenance; however, the buffer operator should visually check the following areas on a regular basis. Example: worn, bent or cut pins, as well as worn or dirty spacers, can cause blade breakage. Carefully check the inside of each pin for wear or cuts. If the hub is not properly tightened when placed on the motor shaft, these cuts will occur. These cuts will allow movement of the blades during the buffing process.
Check the inner side of each pin for wear and cuts.
Check thickness of spacers for uneven wear from end to end. Keep spacers clean.
Be sure that new pins are driven in, in direction shown.

SPECIAL NOTICE FOR CURVED (CONVEX) PINS
If your B&J Rocket Rasp uses curved (convex) pins, you cannot replace these pins yourself as a special alignment jig is required to assure the correct position of the curve in relation to the rasp center.
Please have your B&J distributor return your hub for rebuilding or contact B&J direct for shipping instructions.
