B&J MANUFACTURING INTRODUCES INNOVATIVE DURO-MAX RASP Specifically designed for improved efficiency with Matteuzzi buffers
GLENWOOD, Illinois – Serving the retread industry with seven decades of experience as the worldwide leader in refill blade and rasp technology, B&J® Manufacturing is introducing the revolutionary DURO-MAX® Rasp, specifically designed to improve life and cutting efficiency on Matteuzzi circumferential buffers. “The DURO-MAX Rasp is a result of our continuing efforts to produce technologically-advanced products that deliver increased performance,” said Robert W. Burnetter, president, B&J Manufacturing. “This product allows retreaders to lessen the amount of blade changes, which leads to improved productivity in the plant and more profit per tire.” Development of the DURO-MAX Rasp was the result of engineers at B&J Manufacturing improving on the traditional design of rasps used on Matteuzzi circumferential buffers. The problem – only blades in middle of the unit were being fully utilized. By altering the design of the rasp, B&J Manufacturing was able to create a product which optimally uses the entire surface of the rasp. Now, every tooth on every blade of the DURO-MAX Rasp is equally involved in the buffing process. “Gone are the days when just six or seven rows of blades do all of the cutting with Matteuzzi buffers,” said Burnetter.
